Filming has concluded on the original short film, ‘Clothesline Boutique’, written and directed by Pini Tavger and shot by cinematographer Shai Peleg. ‘Clothesline Boutique’ was filmed with support from The Makor Foundation.
‘Clothesline Boutique’ tells the story of Ido and Anna, two alternative, Israeli teenagers who satiate their boredom by stealing clothes from strangers’ clotheslines. One night one of their thieving sprees, Ido and Anna are antagonized by a group of thuggish meatheads – a violent confrontation ensues and all of their loot is taken. The incident is not altogether tragic, as through the encounter Ido and Anna are brought closer together.
‘Clothesline Boutique’ director and writer Pini Tavger is slated to direct his first feature film ‘Pinchas’ with 2-TEAM Productions later this summer. ‘Pinhas’ won the Best Script Award at the Jerusalem International Film Lab. It has also secured funding from the Rabinovich Film Fund, The Avi Chai/Gesher Film & Media Collaborative and Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig Holstein (Film Fund Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein)..
