Fifteen-year-old Aya is sent to a rigid religious boarding school and befriends Michal, a mesmerizing and violent girl. Through the two girls we are exposed to a world in which there is no good and no evil, there are only survivors.

The series is built like a prison series, but takes place in a boarding school for girls with a harsh religious regime and deals with the tough processes of adolescence - menstruation and physical changes, anorexia, shaming, gender and sexual identity, virginity and sexual abuse, and at its heart is the solid and destructive friendship between two girls.
